Capall Dorcha Theatre Company is a not for profit social enterprise based in Ardrossan.

Since we founded the organisation in 2015, we have produced small theatre productions at the Harbour Arts Centre and toured the West of Scotland in which over 2000 people have attended. Through Capall Dorcha Ensemble, our professional development workshops have created free theatre arts workshops throughout North Ayrshire and Arran to which over 2100 young people have taken part.

Our aim for Capall Dorcha Ensemble is to create more theatre arts events here in our hometown of Ardrossan and thanks to our recent funding from The Big Lottery Fund we will create; Youth Theatre classes, adult classes, spring and summer workshops, dementia friendly events as well as our outreach workshops delivered to all schools in Ardrossan throughout the next three years. Since our project started in February, we already have 32 events taking place in Ardrossan so far!

Through Capall Dorcha Ensemble we want to create theatre differently.  We want you, our local community, to have a say in what culture is and shape the work that we create. Becoming a member will let you have your say in what services we provide which in turn will help shape our organisation and create events that you want to take part in. Our membership is open to everyone and you do not need to have any experience in theatre or the arts to get involved. Membership costs just £12.50 per person, per year and gives you, in addition to shaping our future, 33% off all events or if you happen to live in Ardrossan Central and North East, you’ll get 50% off.

To find out more information about Capall Dorcha and to meet the team and find out more about our vision and memberships why not come along to one of our Open Days at our Office in Ardrossan at the Michael Lynch Centre on the 25th April, 2nd, 9th or 16th of May at 16.45 – 18.00 this event is free with tea coffee provided, please do bring a mug!
