Along with our oganisation and internal procedures, Capall Dorcha’s website is designed to comply with UK and EU legislation relating to data protection and user privacy.

1.0 What information does capalldorcha.com collect and for what purpose? 

1.1 Site Tracking 

Like most websites, we use site visitation tracking to determine the number of people using our site, their journey through the website and to better understand how users find and use our site. In order to do this, we use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). We consider Google to be a third party data processer. Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google’s behalf. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. 1.2 Email Subscription Information 

Should you choose to subscribe to our email newsletter, the details that you submit to us via our website will be passed to Mailchimp, who we consider a third party data processer. By entering your information in our signup form, you acknowledge that the information you provide will be transferred to Mailchimp for processing in accordance with their Privacy Policy and Terms. Your data will not be stored within this website or in any of our internal computer systems.  

Your data will be held on Mailchimp’s database for as long as we continue to use our Mailchimp’s services unless you  

  • Unsubscribe using one of the unsubscribe links contained in the footer of any email we send you 
  • Request removal to the list by emailing us at [email protected] 

Capall Dorcha will use this data to send periodic updates on our company news and events.  

 

1.3 Class & Event Booking 

Class and event booking is done through third party data processer Eventbrite. Eventbrite collects personal information on our behalf and is processed in accordance with their Privacy Policy 

If you register for a paid event, you will provide financial information to Eventbrite. Capall Dorcha will not have access to this information and will only have access to the information input on the booking form.  

 

1.4 Membership sign up 

Membership sign-ups are done through third party data processor Join It. Join It collects personal information on our behalf and is processed in accordance with their Privacy Policy and Terms. Payment of memberships is processed by Stripe, a third party processor, who transact memebership fees on our behalf. 2.0 Third-party data processers

As mentioned, we use a number of third parties to process personal data on our behalf. These third parties have been carefully chosen to ensure compliance with UK and EU data protection and privacy legislation. All of these third parties are based in either in the UK or USA and are EU-U.S Privacy Shield compliant.

3.0 What happens if there is a Data Breach 

We will endeavor to report any unlawful data breach of this website’s database or the database(s) of any of our third-party data processors to any and all relevant persons and authorities within 72 hours of the breach if it is apparent that personal data stored in an identifiable manner has been stolen. 

4.0 The Right of Access

At any point an individual can make a request relating to their data and Capall Dorcha will provide a response within 1 month. A request can be made in writing to the company’s registered office: The Michael Lynch Centre, 71 Princess Street, Ardrossan, KA22 8DG. You have the right to request the deletion of your data where there is no compelling reason for its continued use. Capall Dorcha can refuse the right to delete information if we have lawful obligation to retain data and will inform the individual of the reasons for rejection.

5.0 Changes to Privacy Policy 

This privacy policy may change from time to time in accordance with legislation or procedures. We will not explicitly inform our clients or website users of these changes and rather recommend that you check this page occasionally for any policy changes.
